Wildfire Evacuation Support & Resources
On January 8th, massive wildfires erupted in the LA area, forcing thousands of people, including many UAW members at Caltech, to evacuate their homes. Several members have also lost their homes. UAW members across Southern California are putting together a network of resources and volunteers to assist evacuees.
On January 10th, UAW Region 6 launched a Hardship Fund to support UAW members who have been directly impacted by the ongoing wildfire disaster. Anyone can contribute to the fund here.
The UAW Region 6 SoCal Wildfires Hardship Fund closed as for February 2025. Funds will be distributed soon.
