In the face of increased presence from immigration enforcement in Pasadena, LA, and across the country, we will be hosting several more ‘Know Your Rights’ training sessions over the next few weeks. These trainings will cover Caltech’s procedures on campus, and broader rights you have everywhere. We will talk about protecting yourself during interaction with federal immigration agents, as well as how to protect your coworkers and neighbours – we’ll go over informing others of their rights, legally documenting and observing federal agents, and accessing legal resources. We’ll also discuss the current status of legal challenges to roving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids in California.
We will have a training today at 2pm, in Chen 130, but there are other trainings coming up, both online and in-person:
